Lindsee was born with some missing teeth and since the time she was very small we have seen dentists and specialists and you name it we have seen them.
She got her first set of brace when she was in 3rd grade at that point we were just trying to align her teeth so that we could decide if we were going to do implants or just move the teeth and reshape them.
When she was in 6th grade she got her 2nd set of braces and when those were taken off she was given a retainer to wear that had false teeth on it and was told as long as she wore that it would hold the spaces open and when she was old enough she could go get implants. Well having the mothers intuition that I have I decided to take her to a specialist when she was 15.... well good thing I did because the space was held open HOWEVER the roots of the teeth had not kept the space open ( if that makes any sense)
So back again we headed to the orthodontist to get the 3rd set of braces.
In November she was finally able to get the implants. However the braces had to stay on until just before we were ready to have the crown put on, we were in no way going to risk her teeth moving again and messing up all the work we have been through.
So needless to say after 3 sets of braces and some surgery for the dental implants along with a great specialist (Dr. Jeremy Manwaring) a great Dentist ( Dr.Pete Moore) and a great orthodontist ( Dr.Glen Bills)Lindsee now has a beautiful smile and is proud to show it (I will post more pictures later)
She never and I mean never complained about all the work she had to have on her mouth.. she has been a true trooper.
